Accident Insurance

We have partnered with AFLAC to offer a personal accident insurance plan designed to help cover the expenses associated with an accidental injury. It pays you directly, regardless of any other insurance you may have. It is not intended to replace the need for comprehensive medical coverage; instead, it pays you to help offset out-of-pocket expenses associated with deductibles, copays, loss of income, and need to pay household bills.

Here's how it works:

Emergency treatment
Plan pays $120 for the employee and spouse, $70 for children.

Hospital benefit
Plan pays initial $1,000 per hospital confinement (limited to once per calendar year), plus $200 per day while hospitalized (pays $400 per day for intensive care, limited to 15 days per accident).

Specific-Sum Injury
Plan pays anywhere from $25-$10,000 depending on severity of injury.

Wellness benefit
After 12 months of paid premium, plan pays $60 for you or any one family member to undergo routine examinations or other preventive tests.

Accidental death and dismemberment benefit
Plan pays a death benefit for common-carrier accidents in the amount of $100,000 on the insured, $50,000 on spouse, and $15,000 on children. All other accidents are $25,000, $10,000, and $5,000 respectively.
